The ash foi split from its ancestor the foi. It has migrated to Hydro coast. Its coloring matches the black volcanic sands of this coast. Like its ancestors its digestive system is on its belly. Anything small enough to get stuck on it will be dissolved with gastric acid ejected from the skin on the belly. Its interior body consists of muscles and there is no skeletal structure in its body at all. It uses this muscles to flap its "wings" to swim. The skin can pick up vibrations in the water and it uses its three primitive eyes to see. If threatened it will bury itself under the sand.
