Cave fever has evolved from its ancestor plent fever in the Rabid Sandstone Caves. It is no longer passed through feces. Instead it is past through blood transfusion. This often occurs when plents lick the corpses of other plents for nutrients, and even more often passed by the cave night glider or the cave creeper. Its effects are very similar to those of its ancestor, weakness, headaches, chills, delirium, confusion and high fever. The delusions can even bring some organisms to their death running into cave walls or a predator. Left untreated the plent can also die. Like its ancestor it can stay dormant in the plent body, as well as in the host cave night glider’s or cave creeper’s body.
