The double firecell replaced its ancestor, the fire cell. It is just like its ancestor except it has two cell stuck together thus giving twice the amount of energy. Like its ancestor red organelle produces heat which protects it from predators. Since the bottom of the ocean is colder oxygen sinks to the sea floor. With more oxygen it can more efficiently perform cell respiration. When the red organelle is not active, the cell cools itself quickly from the cold water that surrounds it. Unlike its ancestor it can choose to use one cell or the other to create heat. Normally the cell would die if it used its heat but now the other cell can heal it. This mean the cells can survive more than one heat burst as long as they only use one side at a time. Note that it takes awhile to heal thus it can only be used in emergencies.
