The hornscooter replaces its ancestor, the dangerouscooter. This species has become the top predator in the area, thanks to some very beneficial adaptations. First, it has increased in size by natural selection in which the largest ever reach adulthood. Secondly, it has developed a very reptilian snout with a prominent jaw and has developed a kind of saliva that serves to poison other creatures. They can now endure a month's worth of hunger. They are viviparous; their tongue acts as a uterus, so young develop quickly. Fetal development is so fast it lasts only one week. The horns are used for defense, for they discharge electricity. The horns are also used in courtship. When they are pregnant, they accumulate food in a kind of blind. The fins are like claws but very muscular. The two cellulose nails in each pair of claws help it hunt. This trait makes it a formidable predator. It swims with its tail in a serpentine way. It has natural enemies such as the Seafin, but is not hunted by any other.
As trivia, it can make its eye pop out. This is quite frightening.
