The Radia Star split from it's ancestor. The Radia Star spins just like it's ancestor, but it is also capable of rooting itself into the ground or into significantly developed colonies of Octherma, however when it does this the 'limb' used to anchor itself gets stuck permanently. Radia Stars will rip their limb off in order to unanchor itself, growing a new limb in it's place. It does this near the mouth of vents or in quick currents in order to catch prey easily. Radia Stars reproduce by budding. When they reproduce they will remove one or more limbs and new creature will be born from that limb. Because they reproduce in this manner, whenever a Radia Star unanchors itself there exists the possibility that a new creature will grow in that spot, however without food it would quickly die.
