The rainforest butcherworm replaced its ancestor the butcher worm in Wright Tropical Rainforest. It has regained its legs via dormant genes, this allows it to get away from predators faster. It has grown a longer rasping tongue so it can gather up carrion quickly and then scurry away. Its jaws are well suited for ripping apart dead flesh. They have also adapted spikes on either side of their body segments, this is to protect them against predators such as the brumgo.
