The snakewurm is an offshoot of the cave nizzard. It readapted to the desert, but in a different form. Due to lots of competition, it was forced to adapt to become a scavenger, feeding on almost any corpse it can find. It may sometimes feed in large groups. It has also become quite elongated, but much thinner. It has a new method of locomotion, as well: rather than walking like a bulldog or a lizard, it now slides around. It uses its anterior limbs to push it forward, and belly muscles allow it to 'slither', and the posterior limbs are used to push it as well. It has better hearing, with ridges channeling sound to the eardrum. Its eyesight is slightly diminished, because the ears work better than the eyes. To defend itself from predators, it has also evolved a sharp tip on the pinna.
