Reproduction Sexual, 2 Sexes, Sticky Eggs on the side of Diamiboard.

The urstar replaced its ancestor the tiny urchip. Its grasping legs have grown much longer so it can hang on the side of diamiboards. They lay their sticky eggs on the side of these diamiboards. When they hatch they will either stay on it or float away to another empty one. They spend all their lives on their diamiboard and may transfer from one to another if they bump into each other. They are horrible swimmers so if they fall off they are doomed to be eaten by a predator. They can no longer change colors and are always orange to match the diamiboard.

Their shell legs have become segmented so they can bend them easier. Their hollow beak no longer curves out but sits straight and sucks in water to filter-feed. They cannot breathe out of the water and must climb to the underside of a diamiboard if it gets flipped over. Due to their camouflage and small size predators do not notice them for the most part; those that do still have to get through the hard shell. However their front legs and eyes are not covered and are vulnerable.
