The vent urchip split from its ancestor, the deep urchip and moved to Otter Vents. Like its ancestor its specializes in eating shrubites, in this case the vent shrubite. They use their sharp hollow tooth and acid mucus to pierce a hole into the shell of the shrubite and suck out its insides. Its shell sort of mimics the vent shrubite's. Since the vents are in the pitch black darkness, their eyes are now useless and they are completely blind. They must rely upon only touch and taste.
