The volcano clawjumper split from its ancestor, the ash clawjumper. It is very similar to its ancestor except its now lives more inland and can lay shiny black hard shelled eggs. Caves to lay its eggs in and will bury them deep under the ash. When on flat ground it will hop around on its huge foot but it can also use its other limbs to climb on the walls of the cave or on to of boulders. Its front claws now have serrated edges for cutting and digging while it back claws are hooked for ripping and clinging to things. Its back spikes now face forward to slash when attacking prey and its hollow tooth is even sharper than before. Once grabbed it will inject its prey with an acidic liquid. This fluid digests the prey on the inside, and it sucks the goo out with its hollow tooth, much like a spider.
