This is an evolution of the [[Blue Teflonpalm|blue teflonpalm]] for flooded environments. With the rise of the ocean level, this palm started to develop aerial roots that allowed for the aspiration of more oxygen. It also became taller and its leaves became higher, preventing the approach of [[Floating Silkworm|silkworms]].
