The arbodron split from the bushdron and dominates the south-eastern end of Vivus Island. Due to island gigantism it now has many cells numbering in the many hundreds. This has allowed it to evolve to a height of 1 m tall and developed more branches. The reproduction process has remained the same but the arbodron is able to host a lot more bulbs by hosting them on an enlarged swellings located at the ends of its branches. This has helped to increase its reproduction capacity and survival rate. Its outer coating has hardened to make it more robust against storms. Its larger roots enable it to get a better hold in both sand and volcanic soils.
