Ancestor:Descendants:

The balanced barb split from its ancestor the yanimalius probisucker and doubled in size. It lives on the surface of the lake out of the reach of any serious predators. To survive out of water it thickened its cell membrane and gained a dense cell wall. The middle flagellum became very long and is now used to draw up water and nutrients to the cell. The two other flagella became tough and bristley to support and keep the cell out of the water through water tension. The middle proboscis developed a large balance organelle and two tiny organelles used for sensing gravity, while the two side proboscises became thick and leaf-like.
