However it had to adapt to its new environment. The belligerent nailfin gets its name because it has become extremely aggressive and lives a solitary and territorial life. Its body has become more stream-lined, its front flippers have become stronger, and its tail fin is larger; these allow it to navigate through the sea more quickly. In order to eat some of the fauna in the sea, its jaws are much stronger than its ancestors, which allows it to crunch shells of some of its prey including [[Spoisoreth|spoisoreths]] and [[Trapinout|trapinouts]]. Since there is plenty of food and no predators to hunt them, they have become much larger than their ancestor. Due to the fact that they are extremely aggressive and have a strong bite, the belligerent nailfin has more wood-armor on its body.
