The crownrunner split from its ancestor and doubled its size, acquiring a reddish hue in the leaves due to the soil composition, along with the extant compounds found in the prior species. Quite similar to its ancestor, it also reproduces by runners, which grow new bushes around the original core, creating a huge crown. New cores can also be produced by leaves detached from the main bush, after finding a suitable spot to grow another one.
