While capable of living on their own, these microbes live in symbiosis with members of the '''cryobowl''' genus; cryoutines break down water into hydrogen and oxygen for energy, and share some of this energy with their host. Individuals live for about 2 weeks, producing asexual seeds immediately before dying.
