The Cryxus replaced it's ancestor. The cryxus is twice as big as its ancestor with a more extensive root system. There roots penetrate so deep that they tap into the Yokto Water Table. The cryxus is unique from its ancestor in that the crystal formations are much more diverse, and cracks and torn pieces of its bark get repaired with crystal 'plates'. Its root system is also far more effective at absorbing organic matter.
