The cup qupe split from its ancestor and moved exclusively to Darwin Tropical Rainforest. A minor mutation caused the leaves to fuse into one "cup" that fills with water, attracting countless fauna. This increases its chance of reproduction because the fruits grow just under the cup, allowing fauna to eat and drink from this flora. Its trunk has grown thicker to hold the extra weight and is slightly shorter. These changes have allowed it to thrive and spread throughout the biome. It still takes one year to mature and fruits every 3 months like its ancestor.
