Some sky trees began to stay closer to bodies of water, namely Ovi Lake. The large and abundant source of water allowed them to never go dry. This also forced the sky trees closer to the ground since they were heavier with water. Over the generations they completely lost the ability to fly and now instead float on the surface of the water. Their tough roots may give adequate harbor for smaller creatures. Currently nothing preys on it as a food source.
