The '''ghastrat''' split from its ancestor the [[Geistrat|geistrat]] while remaining in the [[Huggs Rocky]] as well as moving to the [[Badger Limestone Caves]] for shelter thanks to the extinction of the [[Graveyard Tree|graveyard trees]]. The '''ghastrat''' has also moved to the [[Huggs Taiga]] due to the lack of predators and competition. A very useful adaptation is it's social behavior for it now hunts in packs of ten - twelve adults and two - five young, this is useful when hunting the much larger [[Taigapin|taigapin]] and it's relative the [[Fishing Grasper|fishing grasper]]. The '''ghastrats''' of the taiga still dig burrows as their ancestors did on the [[Krakow Plains]]. It has doubled in size and two of their toes on each of their forelimbs have fused together due to mutation. The '''ghastrat''' also eats the eggs of one of their former predators, the [[Cloud Skysnapper|cloud skysnapper]].
