Splitting from its ancestor, the gillower grows along the beaches of Mason Polar Sea. Growing larger, it has evolved a stalk in order to increase the range of its spawning by allowing the wind to carry its spores off. This has allowed it to spread far and wide, and while not as specialized as its more advanced flora relatives, its adaptability and hardiness helped it to thrive in the shadows of others, especially since it requires less light to survive. Its proto-roots are hidden just below the surface, and should its spore-bulb be eaten, it will begin to regrow within a week's time.
