Ancestor:Descendants:

The great spotted sawclaw split from its ancestor, the sawclaw. Males have the larger head crest and front claws, while females do not have a shoulder spike. They travel in pack groups in between 10 and 20. Hunting is done by younger great sawblades, usually the males. The leader of the pack is determined by size of head crest. They have great jumping abilities and their front claws and teeth are naturally oiled so that it can bite into and remove nuts of the inferno tree without igniting them in the dry season. They are also well protected against fire.
