The '''healing odo''' is a hybrid of the [[odo]] and the [[Blue Buckler|blue buckler]]. When an odo tried to symbiotically consume an blue buckler some of the DNA pertinently altered the odo and thus created the healing odo. It not only gained the blue buckler's color but its ability to kill off pathogens inside other creatures when eaten. Once consumed they help repair damaged cells of its host creature as well. Once the host has been healed it will make its way out of the host to spread to another.

It has retained all the odo abilities such as mimicking other cells and assimilating closely related microbes. Since its was now closely related to the blue buckler it not only replaced them but assimilated its relative the [[markopolio]]. Thanks to the blue buckler it was able to expand its range into polar waters. There it assimilated the [[Assimilation Floralgae|assimilation floralgae]] and [[onealgae]].
