The '''igneous stonehor'''n replaced its ancestor, the [[stonehorn]] in the volcanic region. Their shells now resemble the black lava rocks that are abundant in the region. has split from its ancestor. They no longer eat flora but filter-feed the microbes in the ground and water. Their front gaspers have little bristles on them which can filter out decaying matter, poop and microorganisms. Their entire body has also developed a tolerate for high temperatures so they can even wade in the hot springs to filter out microbes. Their eggs are laid in puddles, however some puddles can be very hot so they are heat resistant as well.
