The macrodendron evolved from the microdendron when the microdendron became emplanted in the sands of the newly-created Vivus island beaches. Without competition, it grew until it reached a size of 1 centimeter tall, and evolved to have multiple 'bulbs'. At the same time, it evolved a simplistic root system to help keep it in place as the tides came in and out. The macrodendron soon made macroforests, covering the beaches of Vivus island.
Living Relatives (click to show/hide)
These are randomly selected, and organized from lowest to highest shared taxon. (This may correspond to similarity more than actual relation)
