The magmasprinter split from the plentsprinter. It has adapted to life in the caverns by developing better eyesight, an ash-black coloration for camouflage, and living in groups of 3-5 members. The magmasprinter has also evolved a larger crest, which is still red for males and orange for females. Normally, this would attract predators. However, its crest is razor sharp, though it has to keep sharpening its crest on the stalagmites. It no longer depends on photosynthesis. The magmasprinter gets its name because it runs very fast on the hot volcanic rocks. They spend most of their lives inside the cave and produce up to 3-7 offspring.
