The '''mason rustcell''' split from it's ancestor on Mason. They evolved from the [[Rusty Symbiocell|rusty symbiocells]] that were brought over when seeds from the [[Orbit Voltflora|orbit voltflora]] landed there. Without the orbit voltflora they could not survive well and they slipped into hibernation. Occasionally, a cell would reanimate, if only just long enough to reproduce. Eventually, these events became more and more frequent as they adapted, leading to a new species. They are functionally the same as their distant ancestor, the [[Simple Majurum|simple majurum]].
