The palmworm split from its ancestor the lotusworm shrub. It is very much like its ancestor except it has grown taller and has moved more inland. Its giant lotus leaf has split into several large palm-like fronds. It still has a butt-flower which is pollinated by the bumble batworm. These drink the nectar and get some of the pollen-like gametes to stick to them. Once they are taken to another "flower" it will fertilize the eggs and then they will grow from eggs to larvae. Once in larval form they will seek out a place to plant themselves in and grow forever in this spot.
