The Giant Pambu and Hairy Pambu really competed for space so some evolved to a semi-aquatic lifestyle. They grow on the shores and shallows of the neighboring Ovi-Nuke freshwater Lake. It has shrunk in size a bit and lost much of its side leaves. but it still have a tuft of leaves on the top. Its small berries which were hardly seen before have grown much large into full fledged fruit. This fruit is eaten by herbivores of both the neighboring rainforest and savanna since they all come to the lake to drink. Its roots also form an almost mangrove-like position.
