A large permanent population lives in [[Ovi Salt Lake]]. They no longer return to sea and instead form small schools along the bottom of the lake. Members of the colonies only breed with members of other colonies, and this only occurs every full moon.

Splitting from its ancestor, the rusty muckraker has taken a foothold onto the mainland by spreading into the marshes and rivers. Blending in with its rust-colored surroundings, it moves about slowly sifting through the sand and mud in an attempt to find food. Capable of living in both fresh and salt water, they need to return to sea in order to reproduce, otherwise their young will die prematurely. Because of this, they do not stay in fresh water for long periods of time.

A large permanent population lives in Ovi Salt Lake. They no longer return to sea and instead form small schools along the bottom of the lake. Members of the colonies only breed with members of other colonies, and this only occurs every full moon.
