The saltiri split from its ancestor and spread through Jujubee Ocean. They could spread because they don't live on sail gillfin tails anymore and float freely through the water. Their pseudopods are used to absorb salt and other minerals from the water. It will still sometimes attach itself to a passing creature to be moved through the ocean, though since there is plenty of salt everywhere it doesn't gain much by this. It has adapted to the pressure in the lower zones and can now be found everywhere in Jujubee Ocean.
