The snatcheribbon replaced its ancestor and doubled in size. Due to competition with whorls this organism could no longer rely on filter feeding as a means of getting nutrition, so it turned to devouring the male whorls that swim overhead. They have a pair of long, flat, sticky ribbons that flail about in the water until a whorl touches it; once stuck the helpless organism is reeled into the waiting maw of the snatcheribbon. There is a pouch like organ located right under the tentacles of this organism which is used to gather and pump water into a hollow portion of the trunk: this gives the snatcheribbon structural support, the cavity is often so large as to give a translucent appearance to the organism when full.
