Splitting from its ancestor, the sticky urphish has developed a sticky patch on its head that allows it to stick to the underbellies of larger organisms. They will stick with these "hosts" for life or until it dies, and should the latter occur, it will simply look for a new one. They will feed on the scraps left behind by its host, as well as dead carcasses they should come across, a surprising effective strategy in the recovering oceans. Hosts will rarely attack them as they will remove dead patches of skin, allowing for new growth as well as cleaning their teeth. They accomplish this with a minor digestive enzyme that is effective against dead cells but not against living ones. They will only leave their hosts once a year so that they may mate and spawn a new generation of sticky urphish. Males will develop green and yellow designs on their sides which they will use to attract a mate.
