The swift infectoid is the result of a genetic error within the coding of one of its ancestors, a hooked infectoid. As it attempted to infect a swift padler, its genetic material failed to take control of it and instead fused with the swift padler's own DNA, resulting in a unique mutant hybrid when the swift padler performed binary fission. Bearing the "predatory" functions and features of a hooked Infectoid joined with the speed and maneuverability of a swift padler, it has become a formidable and highly successful cell in the seas of Sagan 4.
Possessing the organelles of both of its "parents", they are all enclosed within a thick red-tinted membrane with a membrane bound primary nucleus and a smaller secondary one located at the tip of its body between its "jaws".
