Ancestor:Descendants:

The taloned phlyer replaced its ancestor the tetrawing phlyer. It had to adapt to the new polar environment by having more fat to insulate t from the cold and darker coloring to help absorb heat. Even their photosynthetic wings are darker green to help warm itself up. Their tail fins have regained their photosynthetic abilities to help get extra energy.

Each of ther feet has a single claw in which they use together to grasp up prey. They will use their 4 wings to swoop down and grab prey. They have much bigger and better eyes to help them see prey from high up in the sky. When on the ground they will fold their wings close to their bodies. However the claws don't always make the best feet so they only land to sleep, rest or mate.

Since they fly so much they only give birth to one baby at a time. Both parents care for their baby and they will even collect flora to make a nest on top of other fora like northern glasstowers or taiga ferines. This keep their offspring off the cold polar ground. When they are old enough to fly they will leave the nest and go off on their own.
