Ancestor:Descendants:

The tidesnapper replaced its ancestor. Its evolutionary advantages are the now webbed feet which allow them to swim better during the high tides and sometimes avoid passing predators. They have also developed a spike on their neck which they can use to slam into the Ora Koral Crystal and break chunks off to eat.

They now mate after big storms when there are larger tide pools away from the surf. This way the frog like eggs have a better chance of surviving and not being swept out to sea. Even still they still lay a lot of these eggs for the off chance there are no storms or they must lay there eggs in the surf.
