The towering stiltbulb split from its ancestor, the stiltbulb, and grew to conquer the Masoni landmass. Already the tallest organism on Mason, the small area of Mason's sole continent prompted a burst in growth, propelling the towering stiltbulb to ten times its ancestor's size. Dominating the polar landscape, it throws a shadow over all other flora around it. It did not replace its ancestor, as the stiltbulb continues to survive in areas lacking enough nutrients to support its massive cousin and occasionally dwells amidst its roots as well. It regained the ability to move its bulb to face the sun, growing a small stem of more flexible material that grows from the main clump of solid stilt-roots, and thus gained additional sunlight. It has gained more roots, providing plenty of hiding places for small Masoni fauna and thus forming small ecosystems centered around its roots. Like its ancestor, it can deflate its bulb, and does so at night.
