The Treeballs are bigger than their ancestors and almost lost the stickying ability. But that wasn't even the biggest change. The most change was the internal "skeleton", a fine network of hard material, which will remain, after the plant itself died. Now the Treeballs can grow on each other unlike it's ancestors, thus they can compete with other plants in the forests. In the fine network soil will be blown, so that the Treeballs will have all nutrients, they need for growth. Over time these structures will grow huge and reminds more of a coral reef than a tree.
