The xeno crastrum has split from its ancestor and grew ten times its size. It no longer lives on other creatures, instead it slowly crawls on the seabed of Xeno Shallows. The spines are now used to sense if it bumps into something, feeling its surroundings, and for defensive purposes. Other than that it is just a giant version of its ancestor.
