The planda split from the sailbacked bearhog plent. It has made it up to the Northeastern pambu forests and has developed a new herbivorous lifestyle. Like Earth's pandas, it eats a tall fibrous grass. It uses its 3-toed paws to grasp the pambu and pull off its leaves and berries. Its prehensile lips allow it to pick off these with ease. It has no natural predators because of its huge size (giant sloth sized). Even though its colors have changed to match the pambu, it still has its brightly colored sail back to attract mates. Plandas are slow and lazy creatures, who take most of their day either eating or sleeping. The rest of the time they are either mating or defecating.
