The blind foi split from the bigeyed foi. It has moved to Otter Vents where there were no detritivores yet and no predators. In the darkness it had no use for its eyes anymore and became blind. Like all fee its digestive system is external and located on its belly. It will then curl up like a ball around the food and release gastric acid top break down the food. It uses this muscles to flap its "wings" to swim. It can also sense vibrations in the water using its skin. While it can tolerate warmer temperatures it must stay away from the very hot water of the vents.
