The bog echofin split from its ancestor, its "echolocation cone" is larger and its body is fatter due to not having to swim against any major currents in the lake and bog and lack of any serious predators. Its gills have become wider as well. To feed it takes snips from the soft red flesh of the segmented bog pyamus. They breed like their ancestor by releasing their reproductive cells into the water.
