Ancestor:Descendants:

The bouncer currybug split from its ancestor and shrank to half its size. It no longer relies on mimicry for survival, but now digs holes in the moist sand and hides in that when danger appears, during high tide it closes the opening and waits. This currybug now feeds on microbes in the sand by digging up clumps of freshly wet sand and filtering it through its jaws, the result is a lifeless, dry ball of packed sand that the bouncer currybug discards.

Living Relatives (click to show/hide)

These are randomly selected, and organized from lowest to highest shared taxon. (This may correspond to similarity more than actual relation)
  • Longlegs Korrybug (order Trichiocarcinia)
  • Plumottle (class Entomocarcinia)
