The bulbshelled urchip replaced its ancestor, the tiny urchip. It has become more mobile to escape predators. It can also cling to objects to filter feed with its claws. Its bulb-shaped shells keeps all of its organs well protected within it. And its hollow beak bring in water to both breathe and filter-feed.
