Ancestor:Descendants:

The calciomoeba split from its ancestor, the lithoamoeba. It has specialized in metabolizing the calcium in the limestone regions of Flisch. Like its ancestor they can convert inorganic materials into energy. They use pseudopods to gather up limestone and break it down. They reproduce via mitosis.
