The carnofarn flugwurm split from its ancestor, the flugwurm and has adapted to life in the Barlowe-Dixon Temperate Rainforest. Its adult form has changed from a herbivore to a nectarvore. The adults drink the nectar of the rainforest carnofern and in return they help spread the pollen to other rainforest carnoferns.
After mating the adults lay their brown eggs on the brown bark of the rainforest carnofern. When the eggs hatch the rusty-red larva dig into the muddy soil and will eat the dead and rotting flora matter. Once they grow large enough they will develop a semi sticky stomach that will help them crawl up the rainforest carnofern. Once in the branches they will spin themselves into a cocoon and remain as a pupa until their body metamorphosizes into the adult form. Once in the adult form they break out of the gossamer-chitin cocoon and fly away to drink nectar and mate.
