Ancestor:Descendants:

The cave hugograss split from its ancestor, the hugograss when some of its seeds fell in the opening of the Bono limestone caves. The cave hugograss developed a method where the cave hugograss which get the most light will grow larger and will share their nutrients with smaller cave hugograss which extend farther into the depths of the caves. They successfully reproduce asexually more than sexually now but, the berries still exist in the cave hugograss nearest to the light. The hugograss found farther in the cave generally lack berries. They also have smaller leaves and larger roots to absorb more nutrients from the cave floor.
