The cave notooth has split off from its ancestor, the desert notooth. It has hard teeth capable of tearing huge chunks out of the cave pear. It has also grown longer, and the hands become wider and is capable of grasping the rocks in the cave. The ears become bigger since it now lives in a cave, and the eyes become slightly weaker. In order to defend itself, the cave notooth can claw its enemies.
The cave notooth can now make vocalizations from its posterior breathing hole. It can be heard as a long and eerie "pooh". These vocalizations are common during mating.
