The cave swarmers use their lightspots to attract cavern cryosagania and to reuse their own light for photosynthesis, like their ancestors. Their ancestors, the dark swarmers, migrated to the Yannick Ice Cave because of the competition in the Jujubee Deep Sea.
When cave swarmers don't get enough food, they use what is left of their eye to look for the entrance of the cave, and go outside to rest and photosynthesize. Because they saw nearly nothing in the dark cave and always smashed against rocks, they developed a weak sonar to scout their surroundings, and an inner ear to hear it.
