Ancestor:Descendants:

The chain plentplaque has replaced its ancestor on Huggs Island. It now forms “chains” of overlapping cells that wrap around the teeth, allowing the chain plentplaque to safely stay in place without interference. Another advantage of this behavior is that if one side receives food while the other does not, then the chain plentplaque will spread the nutrients thought the cells.
